William H. Roy
William H. Roy went to Parsons School of design for his education. He majored in graphics design and fine arts from Parsons in 1957. It was in 1993 that he finally decided to pursue making the art form of folk art. Before he decided to create folk art, he was an architect.

Leroy Campbell decided to dedicate himself to art in 1884. He was a self taught artist, which means he did not have any education in art. He had a very unique trademark that set him apart from many other artists. His trademark was torn edges.
